Went dinner with 2 of my gal pals at Vienna international seafood buffet restaurant at United square, at Novena. It’s about $40 plus per person. e food is ok, so-so. But I won’t be going back there for quite some time again though. Lol. No matter how much u pay, e food is just something to fill up ur stomach. & there is a limit to how much food one’s stomach can handle. Its expensive, compared to Sakura buffet, which costs about $28 per person for dinner. But of course, Vienna has much more variety of food, such as crabs, Buddha jump over e wall, chocolate fondue, etc.

Went to Compass Point mall at Sengkang mrt station. Walked around & bought a small packet of oatmeal with raisins & cinnamon cookies at Famous Amos. I ate macadamia with chocolate chips, macadamia alone & e butterscotch before. But I personally prefer these oatmeal cookies, as it is not too sweet like the others & it is fantastically delicious.
Friend arrived & she ate a cheesy dog set, which also includes mashed potatoes & a drink. After e meal, she bought several donuts & immediately started to attack them furiously. If she had confessed to me that she had not eaten for 2 days, I might believe her right then. We then proceed to walk e distance of 2 bus stops to our secondary sch, our alumni, to catch a performance. I have not step foot in e sch for like 6 or 7 years ever since I graduated. I got all hay-wired & felt jittery outside. I saw 3 or 4 teachers who are still teaching there. e rest of my teachers are either posted elsewhere or retired. e teachers whom I really wish to see.. weren’t there anymore. Even e principal & e vice-principal have changed.
We chatted with e teachers there & proceeded to e air-conditioned hall upstairs. e performance was superb! It exceeded my expectations. e performance theme was A midsummer’s night dream. I watched e movie before many years ago. Anyway, e performance was full of talented students, everything was great. It was well worth e $25 paid. We screamed wildly, clapped loud & hard just like every other female in e hall. Hehe. We were taught how to cheer, scream madly during our sec sch days anyway. Lol. It was fun & totally cool. I saw e band playing too.. & I felt a sense of nostalgia. I was in e military band during my sec sch years.. I played e flute. Unfortunately, as so many years have passed since then, I do not know any of the band members & they, of course, do not know me either. I can only stare at them from a distance, enjoying their music & admiring e flutes which I once used to play. e band uniform has been revamped. It looks much better & more comfy now. It has also changed from military band to a concert band, which removes the marching part. It is ironic that after I graduated, then e change for e better begun :-P
After e performance, we went back to Compass point to eat our late dinner at Sakae sushi. Tired out, but happy. I asked her whether she would like to join me & our friend, to a week in Europe for a holiday next June. She said ok, provided that e tour is a small group. Lol. I took several pics, but e pics of my sch were pretty dark, so I will just put e pic of one particular staircase, & a pic of e lockers (many lockers on each level), which I used during sec sch :D

Werner’s Oven
Dinner at Werner’s oven at upper east coast road. Its cuisine is German food. I ordered grilled pork sausage set which costs $19.50, while my friend ordered pork knuckles set at e same price. Our sets include mashed potato & sauerkraut (sour cabbage). Well.. my sausage when it was cut, oozes a nice soupy gravy. Sausage is tender, not bad. e mashed potato.. it is soft & fluffy, which makes it kind of dry, I prefer my mashed potatos to be a bit denser. I don’t really like e sauerkraut, e sour cabbage though.. my friend agrees with me on that. e pork knuckles is surprisingly good. However, there are quite a lot of fats in between e chunky meat.
After e meal, we headed to somewhere around upper Thomson road to eat dessert cakes. Ordered a royal chocolate & a chocolate fudge. Not bad, they are chocolaty & rich in flavour. When we took hold of e plates, we immediately start to polish them off.. so I forgot to take a pic of them.. -_- What to do.. my stomach comes first. Hehehe :D

My brother went to OCS at Jurong area on Monday. On Sunday, he was so nervous, & scared he can’t make it in OCS, as he heard it is very shiong (tough). My parents & I sayang him, gave him moral support & encouragement. He even asked my mum for a hug. He didn’t ask me though.. -_- Probably because I had hugged him few times that day. I guess they will train them like hell, give them little sleep, etc. e green army bag he carries on his back.. e width is twice e size of his skinny waist. How he can manage to march with this bag together with all e accessories like helmet, vest, etc, is beyond my imagination. His luggage.. I doubt I can carry it for more than 3 meters.
Hope he can have good buddy mates, as he heard that mostly everyone is competitive, self-centered, and selfish.. & act for e sake of acting.. so fake. Wow.. I guess its just like office politics, or high sch days. I told him to try to be independent, because u can’t always rely on ur buddy all e time. & he might backstab u, if he is not a gd person. I added that we are always there for him, though not physically, but mentally & emotionally. Use instinct to know who is fake & who is not, & do not trust so readily, or be naïve. We adviced him not to over-push himself too hard, if cannot do e arduous task then don’t force himself. NS is just one of e hurdles in life. Life is way, way much more important & precious, than e risk of over-pushing oneself, and getting hospitalized.. or.. ehh.. ok, I will skip this point.
My bro doesn’t seem to want OCS , but of course.. can’t be transferred to elsewhere, no choice. Have to do what you have to do & just get this over and done with. Time flies pretty fast, & soon, e harsh training will be over. My parents and I cared much more about e process, journey involved.. like e training, e sleep, e food, his health, etc, and not really care much about e prospects or results. Usually people comment that being an officer has good prospects, good future. But how about e process, e tough journey? It involves emotional distress, worries, on a daily basis for us. I would not be surprised if my hair turns white at this time next year.
I believe each life is priceless, & everyone of us is unique in our own way. As a parent wrote in e Straits Times forum.. “ We offer u our sons, it is only right that they are returned to us safe & sound after their National service.” I agree with that statement, & I applaud it heartily.

Kaki Bash with a bang
Hello! Today was an exciting, fun-filled day. I watched movie with 7 other kakis (friends from Second Life, a virtual world with alternate lives, whom have also become my real life friends). We watched The hulk at Great world city. e movie was ok, though not as fantastic as e 1st one. But I am glad to watch it with them. Its like a stereo surround sound, sitting with them. I am almost deaf, but I can manage. Thanks to one of e kakis, who got us a discount of tickets at $6 each, with popcorns & drinks included :-D
Saw this lovely architecture of e female toilet at Great world city. I liked the artsy design.
After that, we went in fours to Asteroid, HIGH, a LAN gaming place at Katong area, where we met other kakis, fellow SL ppl. Today marks e 1st kaki birthday bash, celebrate 1 yr of Kaki Isles, a sim, which is an SL land, currently 4 lands now at kaki, where mostly SG ppl hang out to chill, relax, party & talk awesome crap.. (includes occasional fighting with jutsus, weapons, combat systems, etc, for fun).
Oh my god.. I think there are a total of 30-35 ppl present. Lol. 1st time I saw so many in attendance. Usually, several of us met occasionally for makan, chill & chat. But tonight, it is like WOW, si beh stylo!! Its an SL-RL party, using e coms there to play SL, party & dance there with music, & at e same time mingling, chatting & eating in RL (Real life). It was absolutely way more fun than e time I sat on a roller coaster 12 times when I was in primary 6.

A kaki cake baked by Luxe, one of e Kaki Isles founder, was soo delicious. There are 7 candles, where each candle represents a Kaki Isles founder. I would have gone for a second helping of e yummy cake, but was too malu (embarrassed) to take -_- All this is made possible by them, e founders. Without them, Kaki Isles would not even exist, & e wonderful friendship we have now would not even have happened. Thank you to all of them from e bottom of my heart (U can have my stomach too if u want). & to all the friends I have made throughout my SL experience since July 2007, thank you for e magnificently beautiful friendship (SL & RL) we had shared. & special thanks for all e memorable crap we had sprouted in SL, & to those who volunteered or was forced to be my guinea pigs for my new weapons testing occasionally. Hehehe. Well, its not that unfair, I allowed u guys to attack me too. Fun right? ;D
