My little brother came back last night, after booking out from camp. He craved for Astons, he wanted to eat at e outlet at e Cathay, which is a few mins walk from Plaza Singapura. However, due to time constraint, as he have to pack his army stuff & return to camp in e early evening, I suggested that we ate lunch at Astons express at Serangoon Gardens, which is near to our place. Parents, brother, his girlfriend & I went. e food is not bad, except e fries were a bit too hard. Lol. I like my set of black pepper chicken, with e chosen sides of pasta salad & potato salad. Yummy! :) Enjoyed e food & company.
After class, I went to have my lunch at Crazy Ang Mo, located in e Bishan area. e last time I came was few mths ago. I was craving for e steak chips, banana pudding. However.. in my absence.. e menu was changed. These two wasn’t on e menu anymore. Even e quality.. dropped.. I ordered e fish & chips. I ate e same set few mths ago. It tastes awesome. Now.. I felt that it was just a waste of time.. sigh.. disappointing.. Might as well I eat at Astons instead.
Mum was having an off day today.. So I brought her to eat e smashed chicken set at Ayam Penyet Ria at level 1 of Lucky Plaza at orchard. She said it tasted dry.. as its e chicken breast. My set, e chicken is e drumstick part, which is not so dry, and it is juicier. I wanted to exchange my chicken with her, but she refused -_- Never mind.. e next time, I will bring her to Plaza Singapura e Indonesian bbq, grilled black pepper chicken set. That is even more shiok! Lol.
Lunch with aunt, cousin & family at Harbour City restaurant located at PSA building at Alexandra road there. This is my second time here. e dim sums.. e food.. much nicer than those at Crystal jade man. Lol. We ate until left 3 dishes.. then I realized that I forgot to take pics! -_- oh darn.. But never mind.. at least have 3 pics of e lunch. Lol. Oh yeah, we also bought e moon tarts (Pic is also shown below). Like mini mooncakes. Nice, e quality is good.. but a bit expensive though.
Went to Lavender Food Square for dinner with parents yesterday. This morning we al had diarrhea. All of us ate e satay, e only food other than our own individual dish. Darn.. e food we ordered does not taste nice too.. it wasn’t enjoyable. We might as well go to chomp chomp food centre for dinner. Wonderful food & no diarrhea involved. To me, Chomp Chomp = Si beh shiok!
For dinner, a friend and I ate at Wisma Atria’s Food republic.. We ate from e stall called Fortune restaurant. Even though it is located in a food court. e price is not really cheap. Lol. I think total cost is about $34. e dim sums.. hmm.. taste ok.. not bad, but nothing to rave about. Hehe.
After that, we proceed to catch e movie called The midnight meat train. Very nice, scary, & gruesome blood baths. Lucky I brought jacket, it comes in handy to cover my eyes occasionally. There was a cool twist at e end. Great acting, good movie, a sensational masterpiece. I thought e murderer was a demented freak. But after e twist.. we realized that he kill not because he want to.. but because he had to.. Its one fantastic hell of a ride.
Went to Chua Chu Kang, Lot 1, to eat with friends at Pastamania. Total there are 12 of us, hehehe, yes, what a crowd. Pastamania was quite empty, after tucking into our food, then we realized why. From e comments going around, it can be concluded that e food is not nice, taste bland, quality and standard have dropped. However, there are 2 or 3 friends who said that it was nice. Lol.
A friend tom pang me on his bike home. On e way back, we passed a motorbike with 2 guys wearing shirts titled POLICE on it. e font is comparable to their speed on e bike, which I estimated to be about 120-130km/hr. Hahaha. I was thinking to myself, that police are supposed to be prim and proper, very law and order. Not e other way round. I can’t reveal my friend’s speed here, but it might be possible that it is almost on par with either a typhoon or a hurricane.
Sitting on his bike is like having a piak piak therapy, as with e speed, comes e typhoon.. My friends said I can’t use e word piak piak, as it has a hidden meaning of obscenity.. so I think I will replace them with slap slap, whack whack or quick hantam session. There are few lessons I have learnt while riding pillion. One of them is e shirt, e top ur wearing, must be made of strong fabric, & make sure your buttons are still attached after e ride. I had to occasionally glance down to check if my shirt is still there, I was afraid e super strong wind has torn it into shreds or blown part of it off, or worse.. swept it away. I too, occasionally glanced at my coffeeshop (jeans’ zip), to check if it is open. I am thankful that it is definitely not open at all times. Also, e fringe must be clipped up, or else while riding, u can’t see anything except e back of your friend’s helmet, & e world is a dark place then. I had a great fun time with them all. Although e food is not that nice, but at least e company is jubilantly stylo, as always :)
Ate dinner with parents at e coffeeshop called Food park, which is located beside Hougang Plaza. We ordered hot plates from e western food stall. It includes a whole baked potato with butter. I ordered a black pepper chicken hot plate, whereas parents ordered e same dish, black pepper lamb hot plate. Hmm.. too much black pepper sauce. e chicken is a bit hard, not springy. Too pepperish for my liking. For e lamb, parents commented that its hard, too oily & too pepperish. Overall, e food is ok only. But its nice to have a whole baked potato included. Potato is one of my food loves. Hehehe. Rushed back after that to watch e table tennis live. Singapore versus China. Singapore got e silver medal! We are all so very proud of u guys! Congrats! Been so many years ever since Singapore has got a medal at e Olympics. So happy!! :)
Parents and I went to Serangoon Gardens to eat at e Astons express located in a coffeeshop, around, opposite e chomp chomp food center. Hmm.. e food is nice. Mum ordered black pepper chicken, dad ordered pork loin, and me, 3 sides of pasta salad, onion rings & potato salad. Hehe. Parents liked e food. Chicken is springy, e pork also taste nice. e sides are not bad too. Will visit e main outlet at Katong another time.

Early morning, I met up with a friend at e MacDonald’s located in Ang Mo kio, for breakfast. After that, I proceed to my grandma’s house. During my journey there, mum called & said grandma is out of rice. So I bought a 5kg pack of rice at e 7-11 outlet near e main road, and then walked 10mins to her house. I was carrying e rice, my bag which included library book, a whole piece black pepper chicken bought from ang mo kio hub, & 2 boxes of biscuits. Of course.. e combined weight is bloody heavy. But I still strived on, e sweltering heat was melting me like an ice cream. Once I got to my grandma’s place, I pressed e intercom. I didn’t realized it was still broken & I stood there looking at e huge Singapore flag hanging on e gate, unable to see whether grandma comes out or not. After I called her home & asked her to open e gate, then I was saved.
After visiting her, I return to ang mo kio hub to meet another friend, to have lunch and catch a movie. Lol. We ate at Nebo beside e cinema. Only $7 for each of us, because its at student rate. Too rush to eat, so I forgot to take pics.. -_- Our tickets cost $6 each, at student rate too. Hehe. We watched e mummy. Not as nice as e 1st and 2nd one. But.. ok-ok ba.
Ate at Ichiban Sushi with one of my best buddies at Plaza Singapura. Glad to catch up with each other after few weeks of not meeting up. She even wrote down on a list what to tell me once she meet me -_- We had a great time chatting, walking around, joking, updating. We enjoyed e food too. Hmm.. but I think e Ichiban outlet located at Toa Payoh is nicer though. hehe.
Friends and I went to Jang Shou Korean Charcoal bbq located at e Esplanade for dinner. e pork is really good.. but unfortunately, e chicken is a bit bland. e sides which came with e sets.. are not really to our liking though. e meats were barbequed & cut into slices in front of us. Overall.. e food is so-so. Hehe.
After that, we went to Timbre at Raffles place, to hear e live band while chilling with drinks. But unfortunately.. e singer doesn’t sing that good. Not as fantastic as e one at Timbre at Substation. & worse, there isn’t space in e open, so we got e seats further in, air-conditioned, and we can’t hear e singer well. But anyway, can’t hear him clearly its alright.. as doesn’t sing good anyway. I preferred e ambience at e Timbre at Substation, and e singers are better. Worse still.. e Timbre at Raffles.. those who did not pay to enter it, can still hear e music free by sitting outside Timbre, as most of it is out in e open.
What I liked about Timbre is that they have nice buffalo wings & pizza. Yummy. Hehe. We were quite full after dinner, so we only ordered drinks & a pizza. Will visit e Timbre at Substation soon.
Today is my last day at work. Hehe. Quite excited. Working in e bank.. has been pretty stressful.. lucky I am just a temporary staff.. or else I would have to work daily with overtime hours. Every document my partner and I did, we have to verify it with our signature. Our signature does not only beautify e documents, but it just means that if we did any tiny mistake, we would have to answer for it :-p My heart leaped every time after I finished doing e documents. We were actually on a project assignment basis. e contract is only for a mth. However, we finished e projects in 2 and a half weeks. So after that, we helped e permanent staff in e BR and KYC departments. Our department was actually account processing. Hehe. I didn’t inform any of e staff that today was my last day, only told my partner & 2 close colleagues e day before.
I gave those in e BR, KYC, Account processing departments a variety of chocolates before lunch break. We ate at Harbour City restaurant at PSA building for our lunch. It is just a few mins walk from Comtech building. It was delicious. There were a total of 7 of us, and e bill came up to only $97. We ordered about 6 or 8 dim sum dishes, then peking duck, e skin wrapped up in a crepe, while e meat is sliced into e noodles. We also ordered jelly dessert. Overall, e food is really awesome. All of us enjoyed our meal very much. I tried to pay e money to them for my share of lunch, but they simply refused. I even disguised e money in an envelope, pretending it was a letter. It failed. -_- I felt guilty, because if I knew they were going to pay for my meal, I would not have lunched with them at all, or would lunch with them, but just eat some cheap noodles or rice. I really enjoyed u guys’ company & e food is superb.. Thank you very much guys.. I will never forget u all :)
My guilt was enlarged later on about an hour before my working hour is up. e BR team, bought me a soft toy from Minitoons at Vivocity during lunch hr. Oh my god.. I was stunned for several minutes.. I was even asked to make a speech.. -_- I was not prepared. Lol. So I just talked something & thanked them. I also received a marshmallow donut & 2 packets of Eu yan sang ginseng tea. Hehe. Thank you very much all of u!! This is definitely a day which I would never, ever forget. Thank you all for ur friendships too.. It will definitely be cherished and treasured.
For dinner, I met my friend after work, and we ate at Astons Specialties at Grand Cathay, just few mins walk from Plaza singapura. e food overall, is nice, not bad. Enjoyed e meal. Oh my.. what a wonderful day this has been.. I am so grateful.. yet felt embarrassed and guilty because of e free lunch, and e gifts.. I would rather not receive anything at all. Just their company will do. Its e quality.. not e quantity that counts. I hugged e soft toy while watching tv. Hehe.
I met my family at Vivocity (again :-p) after work. We ate at Hong Kong Kimgary there. My claypot was not really that good.. e fries.. erm.. taste so-so only. Overall, e food is just ok, passable.
Went to Marche at Vivocity. Total 11 of us, including my family, cousins, aunts, and nephew. These pics shown below are just few of e dishes that were ordered. When u have more people around.. u obviously must be prepared for e food to be snapped up almost at once upon e arrival of e food.. any food.. -_- So these are e only dishes which I managed to snap before e attacking begins.
After eating at Marche, my family and I were still feeling a bit hungry.. I think it must be that we were all sharing with our relatives e varieties of different dishes. Lol. So we proceeded to Chomp Chomp at Serangoon Gardens, and ordered chocolate beancurd, a honeydew beancurd from e stall named House of yummy beancurd, very delicious. We also ordered tantalizing mutton satay, and a mango dessert. e mutton is not so tough, is just nice.. chewy & yummy.. oohh.. craving for it again. Hehe
