Popeyes (Terminal 3)

Ate lunch with a friend at Popeyes, at Terminal 3. He has been raving about it for quite some time.. so I decided to try it for e first time. Lol. It consists of a set meal of 2 chicken, a biscuit, and choose a side of either fries/coleslaw/potato whip. Haiz.. e chicken.. I rather eat at KFC.. e biscuit.. I managed to finish only half of it. Luckily e fries was nice, & so was e potato whip. My friend was like oohhh, so nice hor? Shiok? & I was opposing him & we got a mini debate of popeyes & KFC. LOLOL!!

After our meal, we went to e Sitex show at Expo, e carpark was super super full.. I think there was a big jam as well. Inside e expo, it was packed, but luckily I can still manage to breathe, not so bad, as it was still noon on a weekday. Grabbed lots of brochures for laptops. Lol

I logged into facebook in the evening.. saw comments from several friends that terminal 3 popeyes standard dropped, not nice anymore. Hahahahah.. This was very amusing. Lol. Well.. some people may like popeyes, some might not. All our taste buds are different anyway. Hehe

Azur (Terminal 3)

Ate buffet dinner with a bunch of friends at Azur, which is located at Terminal 3, crowne hotel. With discount, it was about $35 per person, but without discount, I think it would be about $40 plus per person. The service was good. e ambience.. e lighting was quite dim, therefore, e pics I have taken were a bit dark. There are Indian, Chinese, Japanese, western food to choose from.. with desserts, mini cakes, ice cream, chocolate fondue, crabs.. e food was ok.. not bad. But Sakura buffet is much cheaper, less than $30, & Kushinbo was about $35. I think.. I personally prefer these 2 places more. Lol. Here are some of pics I took.. hehe

The Indulge

Went to The Indulge for dinner at The Cathay, which is a few mins walk from Plaza Singapura. I ordered pasta with chicken, while my friend ordered a black pepper pork with spaghetti. e food is so-so, nothing to shout about. Some friends who read my blog, commented to me that why most of my posts rated the food as so-so, only several posts have my shiok shiok dei comments. Lol. Well.. it’s because I feel that it’s really so-so to me lor. Hahaha. While I eat, I compare e taste of e particular food to e same particular type of food I have eaten elsewhere. If it tastes better than what I have tasted before in memory, of course I will not hesitate to praise & rave about that particular food. Lol

Al-madinathul Munawwara

Ate dinner with a friend at Al-madinathul Munawwara located at 176/178 yio chu kang road. She ate cheese pratas & mutton soup, while I consumed a mutton murthabak. She & her family have often go there for their pratas. It was my first time there, I didn’t expect the murthabak to be quite big in portion, compared to e murthabaks I ate elsewhere. I can’t finished it -_- But I ta bao e leftover :D The food was pretty nice, not bad at all. But unfortunately, there was no milo dinosaur available at that time to go along with e food. Lol. But well, e food is nice, I don’t regret it. Hehe. Dinosaur or no dinosaur, I will be back for e pratas in due time. Lol

Botak Jones (Clementi)

Ate lunch with two friends at a coffeeshop located in Clementi, near the clementi mrt station. My two friends shared the fish and chips, large size from Botak jones stall, while I ate alfredo chicken pasta from the Piccolo pizzeria stall. Friends commented that e fish and chips was good, especially e tartar sauce, which was different from other tartar sauces. My pasta was ok.. but I don’t think I will be enticed enough to go back to order e pasta again.

Ju Shin Jung korean charcoal bbq

Ate dinner at a Korean restaurant called Ju Shin Jung korean charcoal bbq at Westcoast. Big group, therefore, e dishes filled up e huge table. Lol. We had to sit on the mat after removing our shoes. I moved my legs after every 15mins in case I have leg cramps. Which is a lucky thing I did, because there was a mini veggie fight afterwards, which involves cabbage & green chili throwing around. & I managed to dodge quickly although I think I was a bit heavier after the meal. Lol. Not to worry, we did not create a mess as we returned e veggies to their respective baskets after that.

The cow’s tongues were not bad. 1st time I ever tasted a cow’s tongue.. I think I prefer e beef & e pork rather than chicken. e seafood omelette was quite nice too. e chicken soup tasted quite bland though. We didn’t eat much of the many side dishes.. I think it’s probably because we aren’t used to eating those, & it doesn’t sync well with our taste buds.

After our meal, they gave us watermelons cut out as mini heart-shapes & some strong ginger tea. Lol. Overall.. I personally feel that e food was only so-so to me.. a friend would probably strangle me after reading this post.. but this is only my personal opinion, each person dining there may or may not share e same sentiments as me. Hehe
