Heard there was a new outlet of Ayam Penyet Ria at e new novena square there. e mall has extended after renovation. So went to try with family & bro’s gf. Well.. it’s a disappointment. Portion is smaller than e ones at Lucky Plaza level 1, & taste bland too. I should have just stick to e one at lucky plaza. Haiz..
Went to Kim’s Place Seafood for dinner with family, opposite brighton avenue I think, near Serangoon gardens area. e food is nice.. had a wonderful time. e potato leaves were quite spicy though, too hot. But other than that.. its ok.
After class ended, a friend and I went to the Cathay which is a few mins walk from Plaza Singapura. We were deciding on whether to eat at Astons or Billy Bombers. In the end, decided to go along with her to Billy Bombers. Well.. it wasn’t a good choice. We regretted it. The 2 dishes aren’t much to shout about. I rather eat at food courts or coffeeshops, where my stomach will be much happier. The food doesn’t taste nice at all, bland.. & e ribs are too tough, I was worried my teeth would fall off after e meal. Lol. Service was not passable as well. Hmm.. you won’t count on me going back there again.. or any of their outlets for that matter.
Ate lunch with a friend at Herbs & Spices located at Upper Thomson road. It offers Italian and Indian food. Delicious & tantalizing. No service charge and gst too. Lol. My favourite dish of all is the butter chicken, which is in e orange gravy. Overall, I give thumbs up to the food and service. Shiok!
Went to Kushinbo at Suntec City with family, aunt and cousin, to celebrate my parents’ anniversary. It’s a Japanese buffet. There is even a chocolate fondue. Lol. About every 20mins, there will be announcement on new special food, limited to e 1st 30 customers only. Then u can see people rushing to queue for it. Lol. I did too. Hahaha. e food is ok.. not bad. I think its $35 per person, but I think with gst, service charge.. should be a little bit more. e only downside is that e floor is sticky, which makes it a bit hard to walk. Other than that, e ambience is ok. Lol.
Went to a chalet at Costa Sands in Pasir Ris. Total about 20 plus people attended. We ate bbq food, toasted marshmallow with chocolate sauce, a friend made some delicious oohh-la-la mooncakes, as shown in e pics below. Everything was shiok shiok. We played lanterns & sparklers.. been a long time since I’ve held a lantern.. brings back sweet memories. Hehe. After that, we proceed to e room & watched some play wii Nintendo games. Lol. Very funny & fun. Enjoyed myself very much. Wished I could have stayed longer, but I had morning class that day, so was quite tired & sleepy by about 10pm plus. Lol. Looking forward to e next gathering :)
Aunt invited us to attend a temple auction function. e dinner is shown below. e food.. erm.. tastes ok.. but I like e coffee pork ribs best. Yum yum. Lol. My ears are also deafened by e loud microphone of e auction bidding. Haha. But well.. food is involved, so I won’t complain. Lol.
Brother & I bought some mini snowskin mooncakes near our place. We chose champagne, bailey’s irish cream, green tea, rum, pandan & coffee flavours. In e picture shown below.. there is one mooncake empty, as its already in our stomachs digesting. Hehe. Okok, we also snipped a bit of another mooncake -_-
Dinner with family at Chijmes. Went to e restaurant called Japanese Dining Sun. e food is very delicious. Lol. We enjoyed it very much. Dad especially loved e oysters. e price of e food is a bit expensive.. but e quality & standard are there. If paying more for lousy food.. I rather eat chicken rice at coffeeshop, where I’ll feel more satisfied. Lol.
Ate at Carl’s Junior with friends at Plaza Singapura before watching e movie Wall-e. e burger is better than Macdonald’s. Lol. e movie Wall-e is very nice, romantic & funny. Worth e time & money man. Haha.
